May 24. Birmingham We arrive to automobile-loving Moseley. Before the show, Dorian and Sef busk in the square to promote the night’s show at The Bull’s Head (opening is Pete_Prescription AKA Dorian Wood UK!). Everyone is driving a car so it’s quite a challenge, but we are approached by friendly meth-heads who ask us for money and gangsta kids who ask for a beat. Sef: What a cool teardrop tattoo… Maybe I should get one. Dorian: Do you know what that means? Sef: Um… no. Dorian: It means you killed someone. Sef: I should definitely get one! Nathaniel leaves us for one gig, he is flying to Ukraine for a live performance of HOPE, his collaboration with artist Lara Baladi in the Kiev Biennale. A heart-breaking symphony with donkey cries, a string ensemble and soprano voices. We miss him but can’t wait to hear it.
